About FinanceMaxing

FinanceMaxing is a free library of financial calculators built to give you a clear, accurate answer in seconds — no sign-ups, no paywalls, and nothing to install.

Money decisions are stressful enough without wrestling spreadsheets or handing your email to yet another website. We make focused tools for the questions people actually ask — "What would my mortgage payment be?", "How much house can I afford?", "What's my take-home pay?", "How fast can I pay off this debt?" — and we show the full math behind every result so you can trust it and learn from it.

What we offer

Our commitment to accuracy

A calculator is only useful if it's right. Every tool on FinanceMaxing implements a standard, published formula — amortization for loans and mortgages, compound-interest math for investments, the 28/36 debt-to-income guidelines lenders use for affordability, and current IRS/standard rules for tax estimates. We test each calculator against hand-worked examples, and we publish those examples on the page so you can verify the result yourself.

For exactly how each category is calculated and which standards we follow, see How We Calculate.

Estimates, not advice. Our tools are for education and planning. They produce good-faith estimates based on the inputs you provide and standard assumptions — they are not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. For decisions that matter, confirm the figures with a qualified professional and your lender or tax authority.

How FinanceMaxing stays free

The site is supported by advertising, which is what lets us keep every calculator free and open to everyone with no account required. Ads are clearly separated from the tools and content, and they never change the math or the answer you get. We don't sell your data — there's nothing to sell, because the calculators don't collect it.

Independent and honest

We're not a lender, a broker, or a bank, and we don't take referral fees to nudge you toward a particular product. Our only job is to give you a correct number and explain it clearly. If a tool can't responsibly estimate something, we say so rather than guessing.

Feedback & corrections

If you spot a number that looks off or have a calculator you'd like us to build, please tell us — accuracy is the whole point, and reader reports are the fastest way we catch and fix issues. You can reach us through our contact page.
